*A qualified sales terminal is a point of sale terminal that ONLY sells transit fare media accepted under IRS regulations. For example, if a sales terminal location selling transit fare media also processes transactions for food, beverages, vacation packages or tours then the card will not be accepted at that terminal. Insure only transit fare media is available through the sales terminal.
Ventra Direct Loads allow employees who ride CTA and/or Pace to have transit pass or select denominations of transit benefit value directly loaded to their existing Ventra accounts. Ventra Direct Loads can be set up to automatically recur each month and the Ventra transit pass or transit benefit value will be loaded to Ventra accounts by the last day of each month.
This convenient solution allows your pre-tax deduction to be deposited directly into your Pace Vanpool account each month. This way you do not have to worry about writing checks or mailing payments.
Bicycling vouchers are used by employees as payment towards qualified biking expenses associated with their commute to work. These vouchers are the most convenient solution to take advantage of the $20 per month bicycle benefit authorized by the IRS.
Please note, IRS regulations state that an employee taking advantage of the bicycle benefit cannot take advantage of the transit benefit in the same month. However, you can alternate between benefits on a monthly basis.
